The Mani Musicale is a program where students from 30 countries across the world vote on sixteen French songs, with Palmer Ridge French students participating.
The first round was between the songs Matin Midi Soir by Missy D and Depasse by Nuite Incolore. The reveal video came and showed that Matin Midi Soir won. However, a few days later a second video came out explaining how the voting was rigged, showing majorly in favor of Depasse. They got over one million votes in, but only 675,000 students were registered to vote, so they had to shut down the voting for days afterward to figure out what had happened. After about four days the reveal video came out, still in favor of Matin Midi Soir.
Round two was between Akwaba by Magic System and Tu es la by Le Maryann. The results came in favor of Akwaba by Magic System. Round three is between Horizon by GIMS and Level Up by le FLORANCO. The voters were in favor of Horizon by GIMS. Round four is between Leschoses qu’on fait by Vitaa and Rever Eveille by Claud Begin and Claudia Bouvette. The voters were split 49 to 51 percent, but at the end of the day, the song with 51 percent of the votes was Rever Eveille by Claud Begin and Claudia Bouvette.
Round five was between C’est La Vie by MIKA and La Musique by Lekho. The votes were heavily favoring C’est la vie by MIKA with only twelve percent voting for la Musique. The next round is between Grandir by Black M and Amir and TRAVELER by Baladji Kwata. Winner is TRAVAILLER by Baladji Kwata.
Round 7 is between Je suis fou by Vianney, Kendji Girac, Soprano, and T’as le temps by Julien Canaby. T’as le temps by Julien Canaby won. Round 8 is between Casa by Ouidad and Tu Rayonnes by Anisha Jo. The winner was Casa by Ouidad. In the quarter-finals, The first two competitors were Matin Midi Soir by Missy D and Horizon by GIMS. The song moving on to the semifinals is Horizon by GIMS.
The next round of quarter finals is between Akwaba by the Magic System and Evielle by Claud Begin and Claudia Bouvette. Akwaba will be moving on to the semifinals. The next round is between C’est la vie by MIKA and T’as le temps by Julien Canaby. C’est la vie continues to the semifinals. The next round of quarter-finals is between River Evielle by Claud Begin and Claudia Bouvette, and Akwaba by Magic System.
Moving Akwaba to the semi-finals. Lastly Travailler by Baladji Kwata, and Casa by Ouidad. Travailler won easily. The first round of semi-finals is between Horizon by GIMS and C’est la Vie by Mika. With GIMS continuing onto finals. The second round is between Akwaba by Magic System, and Travailler by Baladji Kwata. Akwaba wins head and shoulders over Travailler. The final round between Horizon by GIMS and Akwaba by Magic System.
The overall winner of Manie Musicale 2024 was… Akwaba by Magic System.
