Mrs. Phillip’s Advanced Quantitative Reasoning (AQR) classes held a math-themed carnival on Thursday, October 27th during 6th and 7th period. According to Mrs. Phillip’s, AQR students were tasked with creating a game based on probability. In groups of three or four, students predicted the number of theoretical wins before the carnival. After the carnival, each group then compared their predicted number of wins with the actual number. Games ranged from a ball toss to a number-matching duck pond with real fish. Editors, Amaya Taylor and Hannah Miller, took a visit on Thursday to see what all the fun was about!
