The new school year has finally begun! As students begin to reconnect with friends, fist-bump their old teachers, and navigate their new classes, Bear Truth editors Hannah Miller (12) and Amaya Taylor (12) take a closer look at the teachers new to Palmer Ridge High School.

Señora Christina Anthony

Q: “What class do you teach at Palmer Ridge?

A: “I teach Spanish and World Culture.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: “I graduated in Chile from the Universidad Católica de Chile and then I taught while I did my second master’s at Cleveland State.”

Q: “What is your favorite movie or TV show?”

A: “I like Mulan. I love that one! She is a fun character.”

Q: “What class do you teach at Palmer Ridge?

A: “I teach Individual/Dual Sports, Team and Recreational Sports, Health, and Dance.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: ” I went to Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska.”

Q: “What is your favorite movie or TV show?”

A: “Top Gun.”

Q: “What class do you teach at Palmer Ridge?

A: “I teach English One and English Two.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: “I did my undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh and then I received my Master of Education at the University of Phoenix.”

Q: “What is your favorite movie or TV show?”

A: “I like the Morning Show and Ted Lasso.”

Q: “What class do you teach at Palmer Ridge?

A: “I teach English. Right now I am teaching Honors English Two and English Four.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: “My master’s is from the University of Colorado Boulder and my undergraduate is from Colorado State University.”

Q: “What is your favorite movie or TV show?”

A: “I have been watching The Sopranos a lot so that is my favorite TV show. For a movie, most recently I have liked Once Upon a Time in Hollywood quite a bit.”

Q: “What class do you teach at Palmer Ridge?

A: “I am a retired teacher of thirty years and have been in education for thirty-five years. I subbed full-time at Palmer Ridge last year, and this year I have the honor of creating the testing center and teaching tenth-grade study hall.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: “I went to Pensacola Christian College and earned my degree in elementary education.”

Q: “What is your favorite movie or TV show?”

A: “If you are going old school, it is Sweet Home Alabama. Currently, it is Top Gun: Maverick.”

Q: “What class do you teach at Palmer Ridge?

A: “This year, I am teaching Algebra Two and General Math.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: “My degree is from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. I have a mechanical engineering degree and I went back to UCCS for my teaching license.”

Q: “What is your favorite movie or TV show?”

A: “I think right now my favorite TV show is probably Criminal Minds.”

A: “I teach ninth grade Civics, World History and Geography, and one section of Psychology One.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: “I graduated from Cal State Fullerton which is in Southern California, kind of right in the middle of Orange County.”

Q: “What is your favorite movie or TV show?”

A: “I love Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick. I also love Remember the Titans for a sports movie, and Forrest Gump.”

A: “I am currently teaching Algebra One and Two.”

A: “I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso, known as UTEP.”

A: “My favorite movie would be La La Land.”

A: “I teach German.”

Q: “What college did you graduate from?”

A: “I graduated from Southern Illinois University and I studied German there. I went back to school and got my Master’s of Arts and Teaching from National Louis University in the Chicago area.”

A: “Probably my all time favorite movie is Good Will Hunting.”
